How does it work?

Compressed air accelerates a projectile within the handpiece, striking a fixed applicator. The resulting kinetic energy is converted into a shockwave that is transmitted through the skin to the target tissue.

These shockwaves spread radially, allowing treatment over a broad area.

The process involves two main phases:

  • Compression Phase: The shockwave’s peak pressure generates shear stress in the tissue.
  • Tensile Phase: Cavitation bubbles form, driven by the energy density of the wave.

This energy stimulates metabolic activity in the affected tissues, promoting healing and pain relief.
